Activities & Events

The Alaska Rose Society meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. During the winter, education programs are presented at each meeting. Our meetings and educational programs are open to the public - visitors and guests are always welcome. Our winter meetings are usually held at the Central Lutheran Church, 1420 Cordova Street, on the corner of W. 15th Avenue and Cordova Street.

During the summer, we conduct outdoor workshops, take field trips and visit gardens. Locations vary, depending on the activity. Visitors and guests are welcome to all our summer activities. Check this page frequently, especially during the summer. Some of our events occur on short notice.

Rose Sale – This is the Alaska Rose Society's annual sale of hardy roses and other garden plants. Some of the rose varieties are not commercially available — this may be the only place to buy them! Quantities are limited — don't be late; but if you come early, be prepared to wait — the sale does not begin until 7:00 PM.

Location: 7435 Old Harbor Road in Anchorage (off Muldoon Rd, behind the Fred Meyer store)
